Gynecologists are specialized in the diagnosis and prevention of diseases affecting the female reproductive system.

A screening visit typically consists of two parts: discussion and counseling and a medical check-up. The discussion and counselling may take place before or after the medical check-up.

Counselling Support: provide counselling on issues relating to reproductive health, protection from sexually transmitted diseases, prevention and management of unwanted pregnancies, and sexual health and wellbeing.
Examinations and Specialised Tests: carry out regular gynaecological examinations, such as Pap smears and mammography, to detect any abnormalities or health problems early on. They also perform tests such as ultrasound and blood tests to diagnose and monitor various conditions.
Treatment: If health problems are identified, they take treatment actions, including prescribing medications, performing surgeries or other medical procedures, as appropriate.
Pregnancy and Fertility Support: provide support and monitoring during pregnancy, as well as treatment options for fertility problems.
